When we were out to dinner a couple of weeks ago, I had a delicious spiced pear cocktail and have been wanting to replicated it ever since. I finally got the ingredients and have come up with a similar tasty concoction.
Because the cocktail menu was so specific, I was able to make a pretty passable replica. It has become our staple holiday cocktail from November through the New Year celebrations.
The ingredients are:
- Gin of your choice
- Pear liqueur
- St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
- Simple Syrup
- Lemon juice
- Put a handful of ice cube in a cocktail shaker
- Squeeze the juice of half a lemon in the shaker
Add:
- 2 oz. gin
- 2 oz. pear liqueur
- 1 oz. St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
- 1 oz. simple syrup
We generally used a 1:1 ration for the Gin & Pear Liqueur for each drink regardless. (2 oz. of each make makes two small drinks), and a half that amount for the other ingredients. We also found that just a splash of the simple syrup seemed to do just fine. It was not in great need of added sugar.
Once all the ingredients are in the shaker, close and shake.
Sip & Enjoy.
Cheers!
Happy New Year
