Stitch Fix #18

I’m sharing my 18th fix from Stitch Fix.  In case you are new to Stitch Fix, this is how it works.

1. Start by filling out our your style profile  – you will provide information on sizing, pricing, preferences, and colors. You can also write notes about likes/dislikes. Make sure to use Pinterest to pin the kinds of items you are interested in and link your  board on Pinterest so your futurist stylist knows what you like!

2. Order your first fix! There is a $20 styling fee for each fix. However, if you keep any item more, the  $20 will be credited toward the purchase.  You will receive 5 items [made up of clothing, jewelry, and handbags]. You can also opt out of certain items, if you don’t want to receive dresses or accessories, you can specify that!

3. When you receive your box, try everything on.  See what looks good on you, how things look with items you already have in your closet.   Then, decide what you want and what you want to send back in the postage paid envelope provided. (Easy!)  You have 3 business days to make your choices.  I am often sent clothes that I would not normally pick up in a store.  But, it’s nice to be exposed to different fashion choices.  Sometimes it’s an immediate yes, or an immediate NO, or sometimes things grow on you.  That’s what makes Stitch Fix so fun!

Item #1. Donna Morgan Jamison Dress

FullSizeRender(3)     img_2281  Very comfortable, fit is good. I’m thinking about keeping it.  It’s bit more colorful than something I might ordinarily choose for myself, but sometimes I think that is what Stitch Fix is for – introducing me to new prints.  Just have to consider the wearability… how often will I actually wear this.

Item #2  Kut from the Kloth Maisha Faux Leather Jacket

I had requested a moto jacket in my last fix.  I didn’t get one, but received this jacket in this fix.  I love navy, and the style is very similar to a moto jacket, and the fit is good.  I am leaning heavily to keeping this.

Item #3  41Hawthorn Marah Turtleneck Pullowever

I received this color-block turtleneck sweater.  I quite like it.  I husband was not a fan, so I’m still up in the air about it.  I had my boyfriend jeans on for all the pictures, and this would be better with skinnies, but I’m really a tucker-inner, so I tried that too, and liked it even better.

Item #4  Bancroft Metal Bauble Necklace

DSC02125

Still debating this necklace.  I like it, but do I NEED it??

Item #5  Pixley Francisco Mixed Material Top

I thought I would love this top, blue and white, perfect for spring, but I didn’t love it on.  I also didn’t love the whole in the back.  It’s a cute feature, but if I want something that can be both work and play, that peek-a-boo in the back won’t do it.

Well, I guess I better get started on making my decisions.

N.B.  In case you’re keeping track, yes, I did jump from #16 to #18.  I didn’t bother to post anything from the 17th fix, since it was a dud and I sent everything back for the first time.  This was was much better.
